Went to see the Foo Fighters last night (Friday 6th June) at Wembley Stadium, which was just amazing. My friend and I got there for when the doors opened at 4pm and saw the support acts as well. Against Me were ok, nothing really to shout about. But then Supergrass came on and they really got the crowd going. They played a lot of new stuff but also the old classics like 'Pumping on the Stereo' 'Movin'' and 'Alright'. They were on stage for about an hour. Foo Fighters came on stage around 8.00pm. The stage was a round and a lot of the time when they spoke to the crowd, they weren't sure if the stage was still turning!
The atmosphere in Wembley Stadium was breath taking. With around 86,000 crazy Foo Fighter fans it's no wonder. There was a lot of moshing going on in the standing area surrounding the stage. We were up in the roof looking down on the stage. The screens were good so we still got a good view. The sound quality was much better than the o2 Arena, which was very echoey. We couldn't hear a thing properly, just a load of noise. But at Wembley, we could hear clearly everything they said. The lead singer (Dave Grohl) was really funny and the drum solo was good too. I will definately go and see them again.
There was an A4 sheet of paper by the entrance of the Stadium displaying the names of the bands playing in big bold type. However, they miss-spelled Foo Fighters by missing out the 'h'... Idiots! It's not that hard to spell check. Someone must've been having a laugh! So, now my friend and I call them the Foo Figters!
Sorry about the poor quality it was taken on my phone. Might just make it out!
