Update

Well, it's been a while since my last post. It's been a busy month!

Having to put up with a teenage brother hasn't been easy, but it's getting better as he gets older. He seems to be making more of an effort to communicate without all the grunts and groans and simple yes and no answers! He's since turned 18 and now owns his own car, which gives him a little bit of responsibility. The 18th celebrations included dinner in the function room of a Chapter One restaurant, which i've spent months helping my mum to organise. The event itself turned out really well with good food, wine, an open bar, friends and close family and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

On Monday I had an unusual experience. I was at home when there was an unexpected knock at the door in the middle of the day. On the doorstep stood an elderly gentleman wearing a red football shirt (didn't notice if it was Man U or Liverpool). He was between 60-70 slim and fragile looking and starting asking for money. He was such a dear. I think he must have some form of dementia as he spoke in a very child-like manner telling me all his problems and it was because he had no mum and dad. I gave him a little bit of money (which i'm not sure I should've done, but i'm a very charitable person) and after thanking me, he went off up the road. Ever since then that poor guy has been on my mind and i'm constantly wondering if I should've done more to help him. I should've found out what his name was so I could see if he's on the missing person's list. If he knocks again I will probably contact either the police or a care home. It's just one of those things that happens where you always think to yourself afterwards that you should've done more to help that person and I wish I did. But I had to deal with it the best way I could at the time. I really didn't know how to deal with the situation. I just hope he's ok.

Other things that have happen recently...

Well, i've started belly dancing classes, which have improved my confidence, fitness and posture and I love it! I also went to see the Backstreet Boys live at the o2 Area. They were brilliant and it was the first time i'd even been to the o2. I only went because they were the only boy band I ever. As a teenager I was listening to rock music like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden while all my friends liked Take That, Boyzone and Madonna! I still mainly listen to rock and metal, but I like some pop as well! Also there was about 14 of my friends going and I thought it would be a nice girly night out! Now i've just been invited to see Foo Fighters Friday night at Wembley Stadium! That would be exciting!B)
