Portfolio

by lightshadow @ 18.04.2008 - 18:35:31

I have a very creative background and want to design an online portfolio, but i'm a little bit stuck on the design side. I guess you could call it a creative block. I'm not even sure if having your own web domain is the best way to go about it. It might look more professional, but no ones going to stumble upon it unless they know your address or you pay the extra money to advertise it and add it to Google search. It all sounds a bit expensive to me. Now, i'm looking into arty websites on which I can create a simple and straight forward portfolio, without having to do the hard work myself using Dreamweaver. It's tempting no doubt, but on the other hand it's quite a lazy way of going about it. Plus you don't always end up with a design you want. Hmmmm tricky! Maybe I should do both? Also I really want to show off my web design skills by creating my own portfolio website, so maybe I should stop being lazy and just do it!
